We're the Thomsons — a young family from Perth, Western Australia, squeezing as much of this country as we can into the gaps between the school runs and real life.
It started with a simple idea: that the best classroom for our kids isn't a building — it's the open road. So we tow our home behind us, point the bonnet at the horizon, and go and find the good stuff. Quiet beach camps, red-dirt sunsets, little towns you'd never plan a trip around but end up loving anyway.
This site is our logbook. We started it because every time we went to book a campsite online, the listings never showed what the spot actually looked like — so we decided to photograph the real thing and share it. Then came the camping hacks we'd worked out the hard way, the gear that's genuinely earned its place in the rig, and the odd discount from brands we actually use. Everything here is family-tested. If our two give it the thumbs up, it makes the page.
We're not a slick travel company — just a couple of parents who love this lifestyle and want to make it a little easier (and a lot more fun) for the next family thinking about giving it a crack.
Two vehicles do the heavy lifting on every trip — our caravan, Callie, and the Land Cruiser that tows her anywhere we point it.
Everything we share, in one place.
